"How do you do?
My name's Gavroche.
These are my people, here's my patch
Nothing to look at, nothing posh
Nothing that you`d call up to scratch
This is my school, my high society
Here in the slums of San Michele
We live on crumbs of humble piety
Tough on the teeth, but "what the hell,"
Think you`re poor, think you`re free
Follow me, follow me!

After Cosette, I wanted to continue on the series. I quickly thought of Gavroche became he's a bit easier.
With Gavroche, I thought of Raffi.
It took a while to get a hold of Raffi, and the planning of the date was to the last minute because he finally responded the night before at midnight.

Gavroche's Costume: is made entirely by me. It consisted of an old t-shirt that I destroyed, placed in 3 different fluids to get its off-white color, and other stuff that creates a loud banging noise at night.
With the shirt, I used my suede lace. It's made of leather in India, by a French company (fits with France right? - Les Mis is a French story by Hugo if you don't get it).
I used my baggiest of black jeans, suspenders and my "paper boy" hat.
Paulino my assistant said that "now he looks like a paper boy."

Gavroche's Makeup and Hair: is by Becky Meza who also did Cosette's makeup. I told her I don't want bruises just dirt. It works well.
Raffi doesn't have his hair from last year anymore, so I used my good ol' wig on him. It was a perfect fit!

Lighting and Effects: I rarely use man-made light. So this is natural light and I played around with it. The backdrop for Raffi is made of an olive-green, and with the natural light, it serves as a mini-reflector.
There's a fabric reflector I always use that's on the right.
There's a fabric "deflector" that is on his left.
And it all creates the natural light on Raffi you see here.
I also used a fog machine. The good old fog machine.

As for the sky, it's from photos from a swim meet I photographed last year. The clouds were so beautiful, I have to use it in this one.
